Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does the custom jewellery design process work?
The process starts with an initial consultation where we discuss your vision and preferences. From there, we move to the design stage where we create CAD designs and present them for your approval. We offer up to two major revisions during this stage. Once approved, we’ll provide an accurate quote and proceed to the handmaking stage upon receipt of a 50% deposit.
2. What are the different design tiers, and how do they affect pricing?
We classify designs into three categories. We will determine your piece's category during the initial consultation. Simple Design: For classic designs that don’t require intricate components. The cost of this tier is $250. Standard Design: Moderate complexity, with a balance of detail and personalisation. The cost of this tier is $500. Complex Design: For highly detailed, elaborate designs with multiple components. The cost of this tier is $750+. Please note, the design fee is separate and not credited towards the final cost.
3. How do I know the final cost of my custom piece?
The final cost is determined after the design stage when we present the completed CAD designs. At this point, we can provide an exact total cost. Please note, the design fee is separate from the total cost and is not credited towards it.
4. When do I pay for my custom jewellery?
A design fee is required before we begin the design stage. Once the design is finalised and approved, a 50% deposit of the total cost is required to proceed to the handmaking stage. The remaining balance is due when we present the completed piece to you.
5. Will I be able to try on the design before it's finalised?
Yes! Once the design is approved, we’ll 3D print wax models of your piece for you to try on. This allows you to experience the scale and fit before the final piece is made.
6. Do you provide a warranty or guarantee for my custom piece?
Yes, we stand behind the quality of our work. Each custom piece comes with a warranty to ensure that it is crafted to perfection. Details on the warranty can be provided upon request.
7. Can I make changes to the design?
We offer up to two major revisions during the design stage. After that, changes may incur additional costs. We’ll work closely with you to ensure you’re 100% happy with the final design before moving forward.
