Our Jewellery Remodelling Process

At VAHÉ Jewellery, we understand the sentimental value and emotional attachment you have to your jewellery. Our jewellery remodelling service is designed to breathe new life into your treasured pieces, transforming them into unique and contemporary designs that suit your style.

Step #1 - Initial Consulation
Step #2 - Design Tier
Step #4 - Approval & Quote
Step #5 - Completion

Step #1

Initial Consultation

Our process begins with an in-depth consultation where we discuss your ideas, inspirations and preferences. Whether it’s a custom design or remodelling an existing piece, this stage allows us to understand your vision and the story behind your jewellery. We will also carefully examine your existing pieces to assess the condition of the gemstones.

Step #2

Design Tier

During our initial consultation, we'll determine which category your remodelling design falls into. Simple, standard or complex. Each of these tiers have a different design fee associated with them. This fee covers the collaborative process of bringing your vision to life. Complete with CAD designs, hyper-realistic renderings and 3D printed wax models for you to try on.

Step #3

Design Stage

In the design stage, we bring your vision to life using CAD. We’ll present the design for your approval and accommodate up to two major revisions to ensure it’s perfect. Once approved, we’ll create hyper realistic 3D renderings and 3D printed wax models for you to try on.

Step #4

Approval & Quote

Once your design is approved, we will give you a detailed quote for production. The quote will include the cost of materials, craftsmanship and any additional elements discussed during the design phase. If you approve the quote, a 50% deposit of the total is required to move forward to the handmaking stage. Please note, the design fee is separate and not credited towards the final cost.

Step #5

Completion

Once your remodelled piece is complete. We’ll present it to you in beautiful, premium packaging. We will also provide a detailed invoice and a valuation certificate for your records. The remaining balance is payable upon presentation of the completed piece.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reuse my own gold and gemstones?

Yes, we can reuse your existing gemstones if they’re suitable for the new design. However, we don’t melt down or reuse your gold directly. Instead, we calculate the value of any gold you bring in and apply it as a credit toward the cost of your new piece. It’s a simple way to get full value from your old jewellery without compromising on quality.

What if I don’t have enough gold or gemstones?

No problem. If you're short on materials, for example like needing more stones to complete a halo. We can source high quality matches to complete your new design seamlessly.

How much does remodelling cost?

The cost of remodelling depends on the design, materials and complexity of the work. We charge a design fee upfront, which varies depending on the level of complexity. Because every piece is unique, we can only provide an accurate final quote once the design stage is completed.

Can you work with jewellery that’s sentimental or vintage?

Yes. We often work with heirloom pieces and understand their sentimental value. We'll handle them with care and help you create something meaningful that preserves the story behind them.

What if I don’t know what I want yet?

That’s completely fine. We’ll guide you through the process, explore different options with you and help shape a design you’ll love. Once we have a general direction and move into the design stage, you’ll have two major revision opportunities to tweak and refine the final piece.

6. Do you provide a warranty or guarantee for my custom piece?

Yes, we stand behind the quality of our work. Each custom piece comes with a warranty to ensure that it is crafted to perfection. Details on the warranty can be provided upon request.

7. Can I make changes after the design is finalised?

We offer up to two major revisions during the design stage. After that, changes may incur additional costs. We’ll work closely with you to ensure you’re 100% happy with the final design before moving forward.
