Earrings and necklaces are one of the few jewellery combinations that can be both glamorous and sophisticated. Because they share the same space on the body, it's critical that they're always a perfect match. After all, nothing looks worse than a mismatched pair of earrings and necklace. Surprisingly, complementary does not always imply matching. Instead, it is critical to create a cohesive and well-defined look. Try one of the pairings listed below for the best results.

Statement Necklace and Stud Earrings

Bold necklaces have been extremely popular in recent years and appear to be here to stay. Even though statement necklaces are eye-catching, earrings can complement them nicely. Stud earrings are the key to a successful pairing. Because statement necklaces are so large, it's best to stick to an age-old but useful rule: opposites attract. By pairing a large necklace with small stud earrings or huggies that do not dangle or interfere with the necklace, both items can shine.

Distinct and unique Shapes

Another great way to create a cohesive look with necklaces and earrings is to use contrasting shapes. When necklaces and earrings of the same shape are worn together, the overall effect can be overwhelming. Choose pieces with different shapes to ensure that your outfit is complementary rather than overwhelming. It's often as simple as matching circular earrings with a square-inspired necklace. Another excellent combination is triangular and square. Because the shapes are similar, the pairing creates a fun illusion as well as a creative ensemble. The possibilities appear to be limitless, so don't be afraid to try something new.

Sparkle and colour

Despite being an age-old combination, the combination of sparkle and colour is truly spectacular. The combination is straightforward: select a colourful gemstone necklace and pair it with sparkling or colourless earrings. Of course, the opposite is also possible. Choose a necklace that sparkles or is colourless and pair it with colourful earrings. The colour difference creates a nice contrast, ensuring that your pairing is fresh and fun. When looking for a colourless or sparkling piece, pay special attention to diamonds and pearls, as they are the most likely to provide the translucent look you seek.

Clothing can also make your jewellry pop! Consider which top you are wearing and see which pieces fit best.

The DRAPED NECKLINE

When it comes to choosing the best accessories for a draped neckline, go for earrings that make a statement. Dropped earrings or large statement earrings work best with this style of neckline. Why? Because draping really is the hero of the outfit and you don’t want a long necklace breaking up the line of the top. That’s all you need to remember, so let’s move on!

THE V-NECK

A v-neck is not only one of the most flattering necklines for all body types, but it's also a great way to show off some of your pendants. For the most flattering look, go with a drop pendant in a v-shape. Any drop pendant, however, will look lovely with your chosen v-neck.

THE COLLARED DRESS/SHIRT

A short pendant or choker is the best accessory for button-up shirts or blouses. This will draw attention to your lovely neck. However, if the top has an embellished collar, such as crystals, avoid wearing a necklace because the two items will compete and look overdone.

THE STRAPLESS NECKLINE

A strapless neckline, which exposes the shoulders and décolletage, is one of the most feminine looks. So, my advice is to show off your decolletage and highlight your neck with a choker.

TURTLENECK

A turtleneck, on the other hand, is a far more modest look. But, having said that, I know that when the weather is cool, there is nothing better than curling up with a good book. Wear a long pendant necklace to soften the turtleneck.

THE SQUARE NECKLINE

A square neckline is extremely flattering and dates back to the 1500s. Though we don't have to worry about the huge skirts they wore back then these days. However, it was considered quite risky at the time!

Choose an angular pendant to complement your square neckline. The lines are very complementary to one another.
