Book NowA simple band crafted from gold, sterling silver, or platinum has been the most popular type of men's ring, but modern bands made from titanium or featuring diamonds have also become popular. For most men, a simple gold band is traditionally worn as a wedding ring, but this has seen to be changing with the change of women's wedding rings. Some couples are now creating bands that are the same or similar to show their bond to each other. However, there are some men might prefer to follow a different trend.
For the man with simple, understated style, you could choose from a selection of bands crafted from white gold or platinum. If your special someone prefers something unique, consider a signet ring or a posy or gimmel ring.
SIGNET RING
An engraved signet ring represents your legacy, your history, and your passion, with a symbol that is important to you. On the top half of the ring is an engraved or raised symbol, series of letters, or image that represents its wearer in some way that makes it distinctive from other rings. Some examples are a name, initials, a job title, rank, an organisation or a family crest.
POSY RING
A posy ring is a gold finger ring engraved with a short message. In England and France during the 15th through 17th centuries, they were popular as lovers' gifts.
GIMMEL RING
A traditional gimmel ring can be divided into two rings by taking it apart. Traditionally, the bride and groom wear separate rings during their engagement and until their wedding day, when the rings are combined into a single ring to be worn by the bride.
Rings with three or more links that fit together to form one complete ring are referred to as gimmel rings.
